Event calendar
The Nesto AI can incorporate location-specific events into the sales forecast. To enable the AI to optimally consider these events, it is important that we receive the corresponding data for both the past (at least one year) and the future.
The events can be submitted to Nesto Support via Excel and then imported. Please use the following Excel template:
Notes on filling out the event calendar:
Only the first seven columns of this table may be filled out. The table layout must not be changed; otherwise, automated import will not be possible.
A separate row must be completed for each day of the event, meaning that a one-week event requires 7 rows to be filled in the Excel file.
The predefined event categories are only examples and can be individually adapted for each location. We recommend a maximum of ten categories.
The spelling of each category should be consistent ("Concert" and "concert" will be recognized as two different categories).
The columns "From" and "To" should only be filled if the event is not all-day. The period does not describe the duration of the event but the timeframe during which the event impacts sales.
When creating a new event, it should be added to this table. This will ensure uniformity in the future (also across tenants):
Event | Event Category | Impact on Sales | All-day | Explanation |
---|---|---|---|---|
Semester Start | Semester Start | 2 | yes | |
Semester End | Semester End | 2 | yes | |
Marketing Weekend | Marketing Weekend | 1 | yes | A marketing campaign influences sales; it takes place on the weekend (or on a public holiday) |
Marketing Weekday | Marketing Weekday | 1 | yes | A marketing campaign influences sales; it takes place on a working day (Mon-Fri) |
