Product Updates
Receive notifications via push message or email
Through the new settings page "personal settings," you can now specify how you want to receive notifications from Nesto. Based on the events you generally want to be notified about (e.g., vacation requests), you can now also decide in which form you want to be notified.
Simply click on your user icon in the top right corner and select the "personal settings" area:

Then you can choose how you want to be notified:

So far, the new functionalities are active for notifications regarding vacation and absence requests and the approval/rejection of your own absences. In the near future, this functionality will be available for all types of notifications.
Copy and paste additional personnel requirements
From now on, it is also possible to copy and paste the additional personnel requirements from one weekday to other weekdays. So if you have the same additional personnel requirement for your operation every weekday, you only need to enter it once and can copy and paste it for the other four weekdays.

"Always keep everything in view" – Live control with the Schichtleiter-Dashboard
The Schichtleiter-Dashboard is the most important starting point for operational management to optimally control ongoing operations. Based on live sales and time tracking data, as well as the display of the released shift plan for the current day, the Schichtleiter-Dashboard offers comprehensive possibilities to react to unexpected events and act accordingly so that the operational business is not jeopardized and labor costs are optimally managed at the same time.
The Schichtleiter-Dashboard only shows live sales data if your POS system offers a live interface to Nesto. If your POS system cannot provide live sales data, the Schichtleiter-Dashboard can still be very well used to check how the shift plan for the current day is structured, when and how your employees clocked in, and whether there were any special incidents in your operation.

The Schichtleiter-Dashboard includes the following valuable functionalities:
Key figures of the current day
The Schichtleiter-Dashboard shows you the actual sales (IST-Umsätze), the forecasted sales, the live productivity, as well as the planned daily productivity. Additionally, the hourly actual sales and hourly forecasts are displayed.
Optimal staffing
The Schichtleiter-Dashboard also shows you how significant the misstaffing has been up to the current minute, separated into over- and understaffing.
Live staffing
In the graphic in the middle of the Schichtleiter-Dashboard, you find for each past hour the extent of misstaffing compared to the optimal staffing according to MEO. In the current hour, you see the exact minute-by-minute current personnel deployment as well as the current sales. This gives you the opportunity to make adjustments so that every single hour becomes a success for your operation.
Shift management
One of the most important measures to ensure that every hour is successful is operational personnel control and shift management on the floor. With the help of the Schichtleiter-Dashboard, you always see who is currently deployed at your location, who is currently on break, and who will still be working in the coming hours. Additionally, all special events of the day (e.g., spontaneous sick calls or late arrivals) are displayed.
Besides the basic functionalities of the Schichtleiter-Dashboard, there are additional features that provide extra support in daily work with Nesto:
You can adjust the station of your employees live via the Schichtleiter-Dashboard by selecting the station for the employee currently on duty. This can be very helpful to switch from an operational to a non-operational station.
You can report employees as sick via the Schichtleiter-Dashboard. This is possible via the small medical briefcase icon next to employees in upcoming shifts. This absence is immediately recorded in "Abwesenheiten." Furthermore, you can directly find a replacement and contact them by phone so that you will not be understaffed today.
You can add notes to shifts if there is important information that might be relevant for the daily closing. The notes are then immediately visible in the "Erfasste Arbeitszeiten."
I hope this brief introduction has brought you closer to the central function of the Schichtleiter-Dashboard and I look forward to it supporting you in optimally managing your operations!
Best regards,
Your Konstantin
