Payroll

Preparatory Process for Payroll

1. The Day Closing

The day closing enables cost transparency even within the month, as labor costs are one of the largest controllable cost blocks. Cost transparency thus enables control and quick action.

The important steps to consider during the day closing are explained in the following steps.

Step 1: Day Analysis (optional)

Step 4: Confirm Working Times (Close Day)

After confirmation, no changes can be made to the working times, and no working times can be added or deleted. To reverse a day closing, please contact your supervisor.

Step 3: Check the Hours

The pages "Employee Overview" or "Employee Details" can be used for this purpose.

In the employee details, you will find in-depth information about the hours and absences of individual employees. It is important that this is checked before the payroll run.

Step 4: Payroll Export

On the export page, files in different formats can be exported from Nesto. In addition to DATEV LODAS and DATEV Payroll (LuG), Nesto offers many other formats such as Agenda, Edlohn/Scopevisio, or Lohn-AG.

By clicking on "Create Export," a file is downloaded (exported), which can then be forwarded to the payroll office or imported into the respective payroll program.
