Delete or deactivate employee
If an employee is no longer assigned, they can be deleted or deactivated. A deactivated employee can only be reactivated through Nesto Support.
Deactivated employees are removed from the employee master data and can no longer be used in Nesto. For example, if employees were scheduled in an old shift plan, the affected shift will still be displayed with a corresponding marking.
An employee can be deleted or archived via the personnel file or the master data management. The tab “Delete” and the button named “Delete” contained therein are available for this purpose. Clicking this opens a popup where the action must be confirmed again. Afterwards, the employee disappears from the master data and can no longer be used in Nesto.
In principle, an employee is first deactivated in Nesto before they are automatically permanently deleted. Optional permanent archiving can be booked. In this case, the data is archived according to the statutory retention periods. Depending on the type of data and the stored deletion deadlines, this is usually 3-10 years. Within this period, an employee can also be reactivated again via the menu item Archive.
